History of the World, Part II
It's a very compelling story, about Israel's first astronaut, the son of a Holocaust survivor. He will be carrying with him a keepsake, a space drawing made sixty years ago by a child who was later killed in the Holocaust. Yet, I cannot help but think of the closing sequence of Mel Brooks' History of the World, Part I. More seriously, I hope that NASA is being very careful with the physical security at the launch site on this mission. This would make a very tempting target for anyone with a hate-on for the United States and Israel. Posted by Kevin Shaum at January 12, 2003 01:57 AMComments
i cannot find History of the World, Part 2 anywhere!!! if anyone knows where i might find it please e mail me!!! i really love Part 1 but i always wanted to see Jews in space and all the rest!!! thanx Posted by: Amanda on December 19, 2003 06:04 PMSorry, Amanda, there is no such movie. The trailer at the end of HOTWP1 was a joke. Though you might rent "Spaceballs" sometime; it's Brooks' parody of Star Wars and other science fiction. (And for something similar to the "Hitler on Ice" promo, go rent "The Producers", Mel Brooks' first movie. The "Springtime For Hitler" overture is priceless.)
